The Flower Market: Where the Physical and Digital Worlds Meet

Sessile has decided to step away from the Internet to host the second edition of its flower market at Ground Control on Sunday, September 22. We’ll explain why it’s important to us to combine the opportunities offered by the Internet with maintaining direct contact with our customers!

During a unique event dedicated to celebrating the art of floristry, the entire Ground Control Hall will be decked out in green to welcome passionate floral artisans, who will showcase their expertise. The program features custom bouquets, introductory workshops on the art of floristry, and live botanical illustrations.

But why a flower market when we’re an online platform? Because we firmly believe that the opportunities offered by digital technology should not undermine the close, trusting relationship that exists with local artisans. So with us, there’s no “Uberization,” no one-size-fits-all standards! Our goal is to enable artisan florists to succeed online on their own terms, while preserving a unique relationship with their customers.

Take Advantage of Digital Opportunities, Stay Connected

How can this integration be achieved? By taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the Internet to allow florists to sell their original creations and efficiently organize their deliveries. However, these new services should never discourage customers from visiting the shops and discovering these vibrant spaces, which are constantly being refreshed with new decorations based on the seasons and new arrivals.

For example, for Sunday, you can already reserve your spots online to participate in one of our floral workshops, where our artisans will share their tips and creative advice to help you arrange your own bouquets. This is our way of combining the convenience of the Internet with the quality of an in-store experience.

Furthermore, it is important that florists retain the opportunity to showcase their expertise to their customers and preserve the unique nature of their craft. The market also provides an opportunity to meet florists, talk with them about their passion, pick up a few tips on caring for flowers, and watch them create beautiful arrangements right before our eyes.

The flower market is, therefore, an opportunity for us to remind ourselves of the importance of continuing to buy directly from the florist and visiting our local florist.

To meet our partner florists, we'll be waiting for you on Sunday at Ground Control starting at noon!

    Who are we?

Sessile champions the independence of artisan florists online. Founded in 2019 by six friends, Sessile brings together 500 florists committed to transforming the industry and enables flower delivery throughout France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. By breaking away from the traditional online catalog model, the network highlights each florist’s expertise and helps keep the art of floristry alive. Florists can pursue their passion and create more creative bouquets because they have greater freedom to offer seasonal flowers and, whenever possible, locally sourced flowers.
