The first edition of Ground Control in 6 figures
On June 29, we held the first edition of our big flower market at Ground Control. To help you calmly prepare for the next one, which will take place on Sunday, September 22, the Sessile editorial team invites you to relive this experience through a few statistics.
5 passionate artisan florists
The flower market, of course, features a teamof professional florists who are ready to create the most beautiful bouquets with generosity and passion. For this major event, five florists—all different but equally talented—accepted the invitation.
The trend for Girls and Roses and its floral accessories, the opulence and color of theO Fleurs de Camille, and the wide variety of plants atEpiphyte, the whimsical charm of Lily of The Valley , or the originality of "Grandma in the Nettles" : all of them added a special touch to the market.

5 Creative Flower Arrangement Workshops
Each florist led their own workshop in a cheerful yet focused atmosphere. About twenty visitors were able to benefit from the florists’ expert advice as they created flower wreaths, terrariums, and dried-flower bouquets throughout the afternoon. Everyone left with a personal creation, helpful tips on plant care, and the memory of a wonderful encounter with a professional who loves their craft.
3 talented illustrators
To add an extra touch of creativity (as if we needed any more!), three illustrators accepted our invitation and came to set up an exhibition space featuring their finest works. Since it was a flower market, the theme of the illustrations was plants in all their forms.
To heighten the “last day of school” atmosphere on June 29, the illustrators even decorated blackboards to showcase the workshops and guide visitors. And yes, yes—school was over… back then!
100 Ice Creams with Edible Flowers
To add a touch of freshness andoriginality, Sessile and Ground Control teamed up to offer flower market visitors ice cream topped with edible flowers, as well as ice cubes with edible flowers to decorate cocktails.

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful moments at the Ground Control flower market: 8-year-old Marguerite’s first steps among the flowers, as she came to learn the basics of floral art with her mother by creating a flower wreath. And to say the least, she did a great job! We hope this little experience will spark a great and beautiful passion.
Hundreds of smiles and interactions
Ultimately, the flower market is all about hundreds of smiles and conversations centered on floral design. Florists were able to showcase their talent, and visitors could buy fresh or dried arrangements, created right before their eyes. And it’s because of those smiles that we want to do it all over again.
