A Look Back at the Flower Market #2!
On Sunday, September 22, the second flower market co-organized by Sessile and Ground Control took place, providing an opportunity for Parisian artisan florists to sell their creations while sharing their expertise. This week, the Sessile editorial team looks back on the highlights of this day full of encounters and emotions!
4 highly motivated florists
The foundation of it all is, of course, a highly motivated team of florists who gave it their all from morning to night! Everyone brought their own unique style and talent to the table—from the original arrangements by Girls and Roses to the lovely bouquets by Boya Paris and the plants by Rosebud, not to mention the colorful and generous creationsby O Fleurs de Camille. All the arrangements were custom-made and created using seasonal flowers.

Let's practice a little!
Floral design workshops led by the artisan florists who had traveled to the event took place throughout the afternoon. And there was something for everyone, whether it was the floral barrettes from Girls and Roses or the kokedamas from Boya Paris.
In any case, smiles lit up everyone’s faces at the end of these short hands-on workshops, where flower lovers of all ages came to create a small arrangement.
An artistic touch…
Just as at the first edition of the flower market, three illustrators were kind enough to join us and enhance the small market square with an exhibition of their most beautiful creations on the theme of plants and floral art.

A nice little nod
September 22 was also European Heritage Day at Ground Control. And that’s fitting, because when it comes to flowers, the SNCF has its own story: the very first high-speed train to run between Lyon and Paris was actually intended to… deliver flowers! A nice little nod to history…
A swing dance party to wrap up the market!
And to add a touch of music and cheer to the end of what had already been a lively day, a swing dance brought visitors to the market hall together for a wild time!
And so this second edition of our flower market has come to a close—though it certainly won’t be the last! The entire Sessile team would like to thank all the participating artisan florists, the illustrators, and the technical team at Ground Control.
