A more sustainable online store to sell your bouquets
You’re probably already used to selling bouquets through major flower delivery platforms. The problem is that these platforms impose a schedule that doesn’t necessarily align with your shop’s. For one thing, their catalog restricts how you manage your inventory, and these operators don’t always take your in-store constraints into account. At Sessile, we offer you the chance to regain control over the timing of your online sales.
When we think of e-commerce, we immediately picture a fast-paced environment and the pressure to act immediately. Indeed, consumer expectations regarding e-commerce lean toward speed: viewing a product online is usually followed by a purchase within 48 hours.
However, buying flowers isn’t like buying anything else: first of all, it’s often a gift, so there’s no way you’d just pick them out in a hurry! When buying flowers, people like to be able to smell them, touch them, and take the time to choose them. That’s why consumers go first and foremost to independent florists when they want to buy a bouquet.
That is why it is necessary to change the way people buy flowers online and steer them toward more responsible behaviors—ones that are more in line with what we are used to seeing in stores.
Moving Away from the “Fast Food” Mindset
What is a more sustainable online store? First and foremost, it’s a store that showcases your artisanal expertise: on Sessile, we want your potential customers to have the opportunity to get to know you—by discovering your world and your creations—before ordering a bouquet from you. It’s a way to highlight your creativity: we want consumers to want to buy a bouquet from you and no one else, because they’ll have fallen in love with your style!
In addition, we want you to be able to offer bouquets that reflect your personal style, featuring flowers you particularly love. That’s why we don’t require you to follow a pre-designed bouquet catalog: if you don’t want to sell red roses and would rather sell seasonal flowers, you can do so at any time!
Finally, we don’t impose any conditions on how you sell your bouquets on Sessile: you’re free to set your own prices and delivery fees, with no restrictions. Furthermore, you’re not required to offer same-day delivery if that doesn’t fit your shop’s schedule: if you’d prefer to receive your orders at least one day in advance, that’s perfectly fine, and customers are informed of your terms of sale.
And what does your ideal online store look like? We’d love to discuss it with you!
Who are we?
Sessile champions the independence of artisan florists online. Founded in 2019 by six friends, Sessile brings together 500 florists committed to transforming the industry and enables flower delivery throughout France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. By breaking away from the traditional online catalog model, the network highlights each florist’s expertise and helps keep the art of floristry alive. Florists can pursue their passion and create more creative bouquets because they have greater freedom to offer seasonal flowers and, whenever possible, locally sourced flowers.
