Sessile is a platform that helps artisanal florists gain greater visibility online and sell their products at their own prices. But before it was a platform, Sessile was, above all, a project born out of disappointment!
The story of Sessile began with a disappointing shopping experience: while we were trying to order a bouquet online from a local artisan florist, we couldn’t find an arrangement we liked at any of the independent florists near us!

Why were florists so underrepresented online? Why aren’t their arrangements readily available to customers looking to buy a bouquet locally? So we came up with an idea: to bring independent florists together so they could showcase their original arrangements in one place.
Giving Florists a Voice
What followed was a long period of reflection—and, above all, interviews! Since none of the three of us were florists, we began by conducting dozens of interviews in flower shops to gain a clear understanding of the needs of in-store florists and the obstacles they faced when using digital tools.
Once we understood the needs of florists, we set sail… and launched the first version of our website! Since then, it has undergone numerous changes based on feedback from our florists and early users.
Even today, we rely on feedback from our partner florists to design a tool that can replicate as closely as possible the experience customers have in-store!
Who are we?
Sessile champions the independence of artisan florists online. Founded in 2019 by six friends, Sessile brings together 500 florists committed to transforming the industry and enables flower delivery throughout France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. By breaking away from the traditional online catalog model, the network highlights each florist’s expertise and helps keep the art of floristry alive. Florists can pursue their passion and create more creative bouquets because they have greater freedom to offer seasonal flowers and, whenever possible, locally sourced flowers.
