A flower shop in the heart of Quimper
Located in the hills above Quimper, Atelier Cotylédon is a unique floral design studio just a stone’s throw from downtown. Easily accessible on foot or by car, the studio is on Rue de la Tour d’Auvergne, one of the city’s main thoroughfares, with a breathtaking view of the cathedral. Open since January 2023, it is the result of a personal project led by Maude, who is passionate about flowers and crafts. After nearly 15 years as an employee, she converted part of her home into a warm and inviting space designed for both creating and welcoming guests.
A passion born in the flower-lined paths
Ever since childhood, Maude has been fascinated by the world of plants. From her first visits to flower shops to her studies in floral design, her journey has been guided by creativity, curiosity, and a desire to convey emotions through flowers. Today, she embodies every facet of her profession: florist, consultant, community manager, and even delivery person. At Atelier Cotylédon, every arrangement is crafted with care and sensitivity, in a spirit of true craftsmanship.
Fresh, locally grown flowers for every occasion
At the studio, there are no pre-made bouquets or a cold storage room. Maude works exclusively on a made-to-order basis, using seasonal plants carefully selected from local growers and suppliers. Her style, which is both natural and rustic, is characterized by the use of elements gathered from nature: a root, colorful foliage, a delicate flower… Each floral creation is unique and tailored to the wishes and emotions of those who commission it, whether for a declaration of love, a wedding, or a final tribute.
